Important Postings to Parents:

The Department of Education Services works within the District’s mission of: Preparing students to be successful for life by providing a range of support services designed to maximize the learning experiences of the whole child.

The CCSD59 Ed Services Department offers a continuum of special education and related services to children ages 3-21, who meet specific eligibility requirements. Educational Services is an integral part of the total program offered to serve students in CCSD59. Educational Services includes the areas of Special Education, 504 Plans, Health Services, Early Learning Center, Social Emotional Learning, and issues relative to student discipline, residency, records, safety and homelessness.

CCSD59 provides consultative services, resource services and instructional level services at all age levels.  The goal of special education and related services is to support each child and address their individual needs. An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is developed in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and special service staff on a yearly basis minimally.

Specialized Programs meet the unique needs of our students with significant academic, social-emotional, language and other services that may fall on the Autism Spectrum:

Educational services and general education staff work collaboratively to meet the needs of all of our students. This site provides more information about referral, eligibility, programs, services and parent involvement.

If you, as a parent, have concerns about your student’s progress or information about an IEP, please contact either your student’s school team or the Ed Services Department at (847) 593-4354.
