Summer Quest 2017
Summer Quest is an opportunity for CCSD59 students to extend learning experiences into the summer. With a combination of academic extensions and interest-based courses, students are offered unique learning opportunities to further academic and personal learning. Nearly 550 students and 150 teachers participated in Summer Quest this past summer at Rupley, Robert Frost, Forest View, and Grove Junior High School. 2017-18 Budget Approved
The board of education approved the 2017-18 budget, and the budget represents the estimated revenues and expenses needed to operate from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. For more detailed information about the approved budget, please click here.
District Growth Targets
The board continued discussions regarding establishing growth targets for student learning. The three goal areas are based on the FAST assessment, the Fountas and Pinnell reading assessment, and the Partnership for Assessment and Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC). The board also discussed including the consideration of student growth scores associated with the PARCC assessment to better understand and share student growth over time.
