Agenda Item 6.0

Award of Bid for Maintenance Vehicles – 6.01
The board had previously reviewed the recommendation for awarding the bid for replacement of two maintenance vehicles. Bidders were asked to include trade-in values for three district vehicles, with the trade-in allowances deducted from the bidder’s base price.

The lowest bid for two 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD pickup trucks was submitted by Castle Chevrolet. Their base bid of $102,146, in addition to fee charges of $290, less the trade-ins totaling $16,000 resulted in a net bid of $86,436.

The board awarded the bid to Castle Chevrolet.

Approval of Read for Information Grant Application for Grove Junior High School – 6.02
Sofia Huitron, Learning Resource Teacher at Grove Junior High School, requested approval of the board to apply for The Read for Information Grant. Funding for this grant is provided by the Library Book Selection Service (LBSS) Endowment Fund.

If approved, the grant award will be used to provide nonfiction materials valued at not more than $1,500 for the dual language program.
