Clearmont Raises School Spirit
Thanks to the generosity and efforts of Clearmont’s students, families, and PTO, Clearmont Elementary School is flying a new flag. The flag features the head of Clearmont’s mascot, an eagle, and was raised for the first time on the morning of Wednesday, September 6, with the whole school in attendance.
Along with Clearmont ESL Resource Teacher Ms. Wiesia Pluskwa, who is also a Scoutmaster from the Polish Scouting Association Girls Division, all of Clearmont’s Girl and Boy Scouts were in full uniform to assist with the raising of the new flag. After the flag was raised, the students said the Pledge of Allegiance and recited the Clearmont Pledge, and then broke out into cheers.
“I hope the flag serves as a reminder every day to all of our Clearmont students,” said Principal Rachel Solomon, “that we soar like eagles, and when it comes to our success, the sky’s the limit!”
