Holmes Introduces New Principal Mark Rasar for 2019-2020 School Year
CCSD59 is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Mark Rasar as the new principal of Holmes Junior High School for the 2019-20 school year.
Mr. Rasar has been in school administration for over seven years, most recently as the associate principal at Harry D. Jacobs High School in Algonquin, Ill. where he has served since 2016. Prior to that role, he served for two years as principal for Lincoln Junior High School in Skokie/Morton Grove School District 69, where he also previously had roles as the District Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction and Assistant Principal. He previously was employed by North Park University as affiliated faculty and the Chicago Public School District 299 as Coordinator of Logistics and Assessment.
Prior to his roles in administration, Mr. Rasar served as both a social studies teacher and a football and golf coach for John Marshall Metropolitan High School, Glenbrook High School District 225, and Chicago Public School District 299.
Mr. Rasar completed his undergraduate education in history at Southern Illinois University, where he also earned his Master of Arts in History and Teacher Certification Program. In 2011, he completed his Educational Leadership Certification Program at North Park University.

His first assignment as principal of Holmes begins on July 1, 2019.
