Ms. Petrielli has been a resident of Elk Grove Village for 33 years and is a former teacher at CCSD59. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Secondary Education from Northeastern Illinois University. She then earned a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University, where she took part in courses aimed at adapting curriculum for special needs and gifted students as well as 21st century learning.
In addition to working in the district, Ms. Petrielli and her husband, Frank, have four daughters: Beth, Kate, Debra, and Josie, all of whom are CCSD59 alumni and graduates of Elk Grove High School. They also have two grandchildren: Margot and Owen.
Her local involvement included Girls Scouts and the Lions Club. She was a CCD teacher, tutor, and PTO officer. She previously held the office of Vice Chair of Region 43 of the Illinois Education Association.

La Srta. Petrielli ha residido en Elk Grove Village durante 33 años y es una ex maestra en CCSD59. Recibió su Licenciatura en Historia y Educación Secundaria de Northeastern Illinois University. Luego obtuvo una maestría en Currículo e Instrucción de National-Louis University, donde tomó parte en trabajo de posgrado, cursos para adaptar el currículo a las necesidades especiales y los estudiantes dotados, así como el aprendizaje del siglo 21.
Además de trabajar en el distrito, la Srta. Petrielli y su esposo, Frank, tienen cuatro hijas: Beth, Kate, Debra y Josie, todas ellas ex alumnas de CCSD59 y graduadas de Elk Grove High School. También tienen dos nietos: Margot y Owen.
Su participación local incluyó la guía scout y Lions Club. Ella era maestra de CCD, tutora y oficial de la PTO. Anteriormente ocupó el cargo de Vicepresidenta de la Región 43 de Illinois Education Association.
