Strategic Goal (SG) 4: Stewardship of Resources

Approval of Selection of Qualified Provider for Lighting Project – 9.02
SG 4: Stewardship of Resources
CCSD59’s Finance and Facilities Committee has been working with its energy savings contractors to put together pricing for a lighting project. The goal of the project is to switch out all lights in the district to light emitting diodes (LED) and to install 120 emergency lights per the district’s health life safety plan. This would result in cost-efficiency savings as well as satisfying CCSD59’s health life safety plan with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
It was determined that Allied Facility Partners, one of the district’s current qualified energy savings contractors, is the qualified provider that would best meet the needs of the district. The district will proceed with the lighting project in the amount of $1,764,447, which will be an addendum to the current energy savings contract that was approved at the board meeting on December 13, 2021.
Allied Facility Partners was selected based on the lowest price within the scope provided as well as their extensive experience in the district. The board approved Allied Facility Partners as the Qualified Provider for the lighting work and the addendum.
