Cropper Demographic Study – 4.01
Matthew Cropper, President of Cropper GIS, presented an overview of the demographic and school utilization study that is currently taking place in the district. This in-person discussion continued a review of the data presented at the July 11, 2022, board meeting, and presented further findings and possible solutions for school utilization options.
With the board hearing these possible solutions for the first time, additional conversations will be held at the upcoming meeting on August 8, 2022. A follow-up communication with more information about the district’s equity journey will be sent out later this week.

2022/23 Budget (Tentative to Final 2021-22 Board Memorandum and Final Budget Presentation) – 6.01a
SG 4: Stewardship of Resources
The 2022-23 tentative budget for CCSD59 has been on public display since July 1, 2022, at both the administration center and on the district’s website. The process of adoption includes a review of recommended changes to the budget, a public hearing, and the final adoption. The adopted budget must be submitted to the Illinois State Board of Education.
Changes to the FY23 Tentative Budget presented on July 11, 2022 are as follows:
Revenue
Education Fund
- Additional anticipated tax revenue
Expenditures
Education Fund
- Workbooks for students
Operations and Maintenance Fund
- Maintenance Vehicles
- Additional identified projects pertaining to building upkeep
Capital Projects Fund
- Construction billing being updated since June
- Educational Life Skills Program at Holmes
