Welcome to Spanish!
Overview:
We will not formally be using textbooks this year.
It is important that you keep up with your electronic notebook (and interactive items) in class, as this will be a major resource for you.
Vocabulary and grammar lists are on QUIZLET, listed on that page.
Homework:
You main homework responsibility is to work on mastering vocabulary. This means you recognize the words, can recall the words, can spell the word and can pronounce the words that we are working with. You will learn lots of ways to attack this task during class throughout the year.
Quiz Retakes:
Retakes of quizzes can be done within the week of the original quiz. Please arrange a time with me. If extra help is needed, please ask.
Assessment:
Your largest assessment tasks this year will be performance assessments. We will learn together to use the interpersonal and presentational rubrics, so you can self-assess and I can assess your language performance proficiency.
We will also be working on interpretation of what we read and listen to. Those rubrics will change for the tasks, and will be discussed and shared as we need them.
Supplies Needed for Spanish EVERY DAY:
For Spanish you need to bring the following supplies each day:
- Your Spanish folder (just for Spanish please), with some paper
- Something to write with
- Your Chromebook (charged), and headphones
