With the recent loss of SNAP benefits, we’ve gathered information about local food pantries and other essential resources in one place – whether you need support or would like to help others.

  • If You Need Support: CCSD59 works closely with Good Neighbors Network partners to ensure no student’s needs go unmet. For support, please contact your school’s Community Outreach Specialist.
  • If You’d Like to Help Others: Good Neighbors Network is seeking donations of shelf stable items, feminine hygiene products, and toiletries. For other ways to provide support, please visit their website.
  • If You Need Support: View this flyer for additional details and hour information. An appointment must be made and an agreement must be signed. Please note, the shopping guidelines have been adjusted due to recent SNAP benefit disruptions.
  • If You’d Like to Help Others: Please see this list of the pantry’s most needed items. Any donations can be dropped off at the pantry (600 Landmeier Rd. Elk Grove Village, IL 60007).
  • If You Need Support: Visit the church (2025 S Goebbert Rd. Arlington Heights, IL 60005) on Tuesdays from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. You must present a Greater Chicago Food Depository card, or get it onsite.
  • If You Need Support: Visit Salvation Army (609 W. Dempster St. Des Plaines, IL 60016) on Thursdays from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 2:45 pm. ID and proof of household members required.
  • If You Need Support: Open to residents of Mount Prospect. Please call to register and schedule your time slot (847-506-4930). Visit their website to learn more.
  • If You Need Support: Visit the church (1045 S Arlington Heights Rd. Elk Grove Village, IL 60007) on Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
  • If You’d Like to Help Others: Please visit the church’s website for ways to support their food pantry.
  • If You Need Support: Open to residents of Des Plaines, or families that have a student at a Des Plaines school. Visit on Tuesdays from 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm or Saturdays from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm. If you are a new client, please arrive at least one hour before closing. You will need a photo ID for each adult, proof of income, proof of address, and birth certificates of any adult children living in the home if they are over the age of 18.
  • If You’d Like to Help Others: Please visit the pantry’s website for their most urgent needs and additional information.
  • If You Need Support: Food is distributed every Saturday at the Randhurst location (302 E. Euclid Ave. Prospect Heights, IL 60070). Doors open at 10:30 am – visitors must be registered by 10:45 am and an ID must be presented.
  • If You’d Like to Help Others: Visit Higher Up Ministries Food Pantry’s website to make a monetary donation.
  • If You Need Support: Visit the church (1072 Ridge Ave. Elk Grove Village, IL 60007) during the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome – you do not need to be a resident of Elk Grove Village.
  • If You Need Support: Over 35 mini libraries throughout Mount Prospect have been converted to mini pantries. They are stocked with pantry essentials and body care items. View the Pantry Map to find locations near you.
  • CCSD59’s Care Closet: Visit the Amazon wishlist for items in need.
  • D59 Education Foundation Empowerment Fund: This fund provides support in moments when other resources or grants aren’t available, helping families with basic needs, critical services, overcoming unique hardships, and more. Monetary donations can be made via PayPal.
