Early Entrance to Kindergarten
Ingreso anticipado al Kindergarten
To be eligible for early entrance to kindergarten, a child must turn five years old by December 31 of the proposed Kindergarten year and must have attended (and completed) a preschool program throughout the entire school year immediately preceding the proposed kindergarten year.
In addition, parents or legal guardians will be asked to provide relevant evidence that supports their belief that their child is exceptionally advanced both intellectually and socially. Parents or legal guardians wishing to apply for early entrance to kindergarten should complete and submit the Early Entrance to Kindergarten Referral Form along with accompanying documents and questionnaire to the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction by May 15 of the year prior to the desired year of early admittance.
Para ser elegible para la entrada temprana al kindergarten, un niño debe cumplir cinco años antes del 31 de diciembre del año propuesto para el kindergarten y debe haber asistido (y completado) un programa preescolar durante todo el año escolar inmediatamente anterior al año propuesto para el kindergarten.
Además, se les pedirá a los padres o tutores legales que proporcionen evidencia relevante que respalde su creencia de que su hijo está excepcionalmente avanzado tanto intelectual como socialmente.
