Mr. Bookler was raised in Elk Grove Village where he attended Salt Creek Elementary, Grove Junior High, and Elk Grove High School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with middle school endorsements in science, language arts, and social studies. He has a master’s degree from Benedictine University in Leadership and School Administration. Mr. Bookler has been an educator for twenty-four years teaching 4th and 5th grade students. He has provided staff development to teachers, mostly in the area of technology. He is also an instructor for the Center for Talent Development Program at Northwestern University.
Mr. Bookler has been involved in the community for several years, serving on various boards in Elk Grove Village since 2003, including the Community Service Board, Health and Community Service Board, and currently the Zoning Board of Appeals. Bookler has participated in Make a Difference Day, worked as a Salvation Army bell ringer during the holidays, and developed programs as part of the Education Month Committee for the Elk Grove Village 50th Anniversary Commission. Bookler volunteers as a coach for his son’s baseball team and also has served as the manager for his hockey team.
He is married to Traci, a reading interventionist and board member of the Salt Creek PTO. They have three children: one attends Salt Creek, another at Grove Junior High, and the oldest is a sophomore at Elk Grove High School.

El Sr. Bookler se crió en Elk Grove Village, donde asistió Salt Creek Elementary School, Grove Junior High y Elk Grove High School. Tiene una licenciatura en Educación Primaria con especialidades de escuela secundaria en ciencias, artes de lenguaje y estudios sociales. Tiene una maestría de Benedictine University en Liderazgo y Administración Escolar. El Sr. Bookler ha sido educador durante veinticuatro años enseñando a estudiantes de 4to y 5to grado. Ha brindado desarrollo profesional a maestros, principalmente en el área de tecnología. También es instructor del Programa de Desarrollo de Talento de Northwestern University.
El Sr. Bookler ha estado involucrado en la comunidad durante varios años, sirviendo en varias juntas en Elk Grove Village desde 2003, incluida la Junta de Servicios comunitarios, la Junta de Salud y Servicios Comunitarios y actualmente la Junta de Apelaciones de Zonificación. Bookler participó en el Día de de Hacer la Diferencia, trabajó como campanero del Ejército de Salvación durante las vacaciones y desarrolló programas como parte del Comité del Mes de la Educación para la comisión del 50 Aniversario de Elk Grove Village. Bookler se ofrece como entrenador voluntario para el equipo de béisbol de su hijo y también se desempeñó como gerente de su equipo de hockey.
Está casado con Traci, una intervencionista de lectura y miembro de la junta directiva de la PTO de Salt Creek. Tienen tres hijos: uno asiste a Salt Creek, otro a Grove Junior High y el mayor es estudiante de segundo año en Elk Grove High School.
