For student safety purposes, bus routes are not published on the District 59 website. Please contact your school or our Transportation Department at 847-593-4379.

WhoM do I call?

Safeway Transportation Services is the contracted bus provider for CCSD59. They are also utilized for special education routes.

To find out the whereabouts of your student’s bus, report your student’s absence from a special education bus, or report concerns about a bus or driver, call 847-204-8457.

Request for Transportation CHANGES:

Rules and Regulations:

  • Students must be at the bus stop five minutes prior to the pickup time
  • A bus will not stop if students are not present
  • Kindergarten students transported during the noon-hour must have an adult present before the student is allowed to get off the bus.
  • Preschool students who qualify for special transportation services must have an adult present before the student is allowed to get off the bus.
  • Due to time constraints; buses will not return to a bus stop when students miss the bus or an adult (when required) is not present to receive the student. Students will be returned to their home school and parent/guardians will need to pick up their child from the school. The bus will not return.
  • Changes to bus routes require a minimum of tgree working days to be implemented.
  • No changes to bus routes will be processed during the first two weeks of school.

SOLICITUD DE CAMBIOS EN EL TRANSPORTE:

NORMAS Y REGLAMENTOS:

  • Los estudiantes deben estar en la parada del autobús 5 minutos antes de la hora de recogida
  • Un autobús no se detendrá si los estudiantes no están presentes
  • Los estudiantes de kindergarten transportados durante la hora del mediodía deben tener un adulto presente antes de que el estudiante pueda bajarse del autobús.
  • Los estudiantes preescolares que califiquen para servicios especiales de transporte deben tener un adulto presente antes de que el estudiante pueda bajarse del autobús.
  • Debido a limitaciones de tiempo; Los autobuses no regresarán a una parada de autobús cuando los estudiantes pierdan el autobús o un adulto (cuando sea necesario) no esté presente para recibir al estudiante. Los estudiantes serán devueltos a su escuela en casa y los padres/tutores necesitarán recoger a su hijo de la escuela. El autobús no regresará.
  • Los cambios en las rutas de autobús requieren un mínimo de 3 días laborables para ser implementados.
  • No se procesarán cambios en las rutas de autobús durante las primeras 2 semanas de la escuela.
