Cells, Rows and Columns
The following simple table has two rows and two columns.
Rows across, Columns down		 Cell Spacing & Padding

Cell spacing controls the space between table cells by defining the pixel width between them
(controls the thickness of the border in other words).

Cell padding controls the amount of space between the contents of the cell
(text, images, etc) from the cell wall (border)

Cell Spacing = 0 Cell Padding = 0

This table has a "Caption"
using the words "Caption Example"
A Caption is like a Heading or Title

Table Properties, Cells, Rows, Columns

 

Hold down your CTRL button or right click your mouse over the table, you will get the following menus

Cell Properties

Like a Table, you can also specify the Width and Height

Background Color – This property specifies the background color of the cell.

Rows Span and Columns Span

Allow you to extend columns and rows across multiple other columns and rows when they would usually be forced to stop.

Horizontal Alignment - Controls the horizontal orientation within a cell.

Vertical Alignment - Controls the vertical orientation within a cell.

Cell Type  is either for Data or a Header. Header will be bolded.

Word Wrap - Yes or No that the text will wrap within the cell
