School District 59 Names Chief Innovation Officer

The School District 59 Board of Education, during its April 8, 2013 regular Board meeting, approved the appointment of Ben Grey to the position of Chief Innovation Officer, beginning July 2013.  

Mr. Grey is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer for Oak Lawn-Hometown District 123. Prior to his service in District 123 he held the position of Instructional Technology Coordinator for Barrington Community Unit School District 220. Mr. Grey also served as a classroom teacher in District 220 and District 300 for several years prior to accepting his first administrative position.

Mr. Grey received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Judson University, a Masters in Science Education from Walden University, and a general administrative certificate from Johns Hopkins University.  Mr. Grey was named the Technology Administrator of the Year in Illinois in 2012.
