Summer enrichment Classes

Registration has been extended through Friday, April 20, 2018 for Summer Enrichment classes. These are optional classes available to students interested in summer learning in the areas of music, theater, and culinary skills. Seats are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis. A minimum of 20 students are required for a class to be offered, so please register your child today!

Summer Enrichment CLASS Descriptions:

Please note, a child may only be enrolled in one class, due to a concurrent schedule of all classes. For students in grades 3 through 7, grades are based on the 2017-18 school year.

MUSIC THEATER WORKSHOP
For: Grades 2 through 4
Available Seats: 30
Program Details: A three-week music and theater experience including music, movement, and drama. Students will sing, dance, and play drama games while creating a performance for the last day of class.

INSTRUMENT EXPLORERS
For:
Grades 3 through 4
Available Seats: 30
Program Details: Students will have an opportunity to learn about instruments from around the world. They will have hands-on experiences with different instruments and genres, and instrument making will occur along with daily playing opportunities.

MASTERCHEF, Jr. – On The Go!
For: Grades 5 through 7
Seats Available: 24
Program Details: Students will embark on a culinary adventure in the all-new MCJ – On the Go! Class participants will be designing and creating ready-to-eat foods and looking at nutrition for everyone. Kids who want to be able to say “Yes, I made that!” should join today!

In addition to the above summer programming options, CCSD59 will be hosting Family Nights at qualifying schools which will feature activities such as book exchanges, activity stations, and parent education sessions.
