Pictures need to be in an album to use the slide show feature.
You must select images from your Image Albums when using both the Rich Text Editor and Slideshow Elements.
When working with the Slideshow Element, you may choose any number of images from as many different albums as you wish. For best results it's recommend that all the images you upload for your slideshow have the same dimensions.
It is not necessary to upload all images you intend to use for a slideshow into the same album. When configuring a Slideshow Element, you will have the option of adding more images to the slideshow. When you do, you may select new images from any album at your disposal.
Tip: Slideshows look best if all the images in the show have the same dimensions. If necessary, crop images before uploading into albums.
Select Slideshow from the element gallery. All albums that are currently created will be displayed. Choose the album that you want to display the slideshow. In this example Field Museum is choosen.

Check All to select all the graphics or check just the ones you want displayed in the slideshow and select Submit.

You can reorder the pictures of how you want them displayed in the slideshow by selecting the up and down arrows.
Chosen a wrong picture, select Delete.
Want to add a different picture, select Add Images.
You have the option to Title your pictures and you can select Show Image Titles, titles will be displayed during the slideshow.
Select the Transition to be displayed. Unfortunately you can only choose one, cannot mix and match.

This is how your slideshow will display on your working page. Select Preview Draft to see the actually slideshow, or select Publish and Live View.
