Financial Planning and Budget Process – 4.01
The Assistant Superintendent of Business Services provided a more in depth look at what is taken into consideration for the 2026 fiscal year budget. Considerations for long-range facility planning were also shared. The FY26 budget will be available for public viewing beginning in July.

Press 118 Policy Updates – 5.02
The Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) shares regular policy updates to help school districts follow state laws and use best practices. The school board reviews these updates and may also make changes based on recommendations from district leaders. Some policies must be reviewed every year or every two years, as required by state law.

Approval to Direct the Administration to Enter Discussion with Elk Grove Village to Amend the SRO Agreement – 6.01
CCSD59 currently has one School Resource Office (SRO) who supports all schools in Elk Grove Village. At the June 11, 2025 meeting, the district shared plans to update this agreement to add a second SRO.
The Board of Education approved the authorization for the administration to enter into discussions with the Elk Grove Village Police Department to amend the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) that would allow for the addition of a second SRO.
Approval to Direct School Board Representative to Act in Accordance with the Will of the School Board – 6.02
The Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO) supports students with special needs. It runs programs in Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, and Palatine at schools like Kirk, Miner, and Timber Ridge. Programs include:
- Those for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Students with more significant needs
- Support for staff and families in its eight member districts with coaching, training, and student support services
Each NSSEO member district appoints one of its elected Board members to represent their district on the NSSEO Governing Board.
The Board of Education approved there will be a designee to act in accordance with the NSSEO school board.
Approval of Soldwedel Consulting, LLC for Strategic Planning Work – 6.03
The Community Consolidated School District 59 Board of Education interviewed Perry Soldwedel from Soldwedel Consulting, LLC to assist with the strategic plan process.
The Board of Education approved Soldwedel Consulting, LLC to assist in the process.
Approval of the Human Resources Report – 6.04
The District shared a list of Human Resource items for the Board’s approval which included new contract recommendations, departure recommendations, and interim contract recommendations.
The Board of Education approved the items. This included the District’s new interim CSBO, Mohsin Dada who will begin July 1, 2025.
